We're approaching the end of the tennis season, with only about a month to go. Maybe this thread would be better started then, but I see no harm in getting it going now.

So what do you predict for 2019? Whither the Big Four? How will they all fare? And what about Next Gen - who will breakout? New big title winners? Surprises? What about retirements? Etc.

Post here, and then get to enjoy bragging rights later on. Or not.

With Novak trending, and back with his old team, it's hard not to see him gaming for a good year. I think Rafa is still in the hunt and should feature. One wonders about Roger. And to round out the Big 4...will Murray find his game again? I like to think there's a Major yet in him, but the early part of the year may tell us if his body and mind is still in it. As to the best of the rest, I've long said I think Wawrinka is done for Majors. Cilic probably too. Could this be Del Potro's year to really come back? It's a bit now or never for him. For real predictions, you ask yourself about Zverev, Thiem, Dimitrov, and some of the better youngsters.

Dimitrov: sell
Zverev: He really needs to at least make a final at a Major this year or he's going to be an also-ran, even if he does win a Major or two eventually
Thiem: I think he has a short window for interesting titles, but won't win a Major
Nishikori: Stay healthy and win the USO next year, or that's it.
Kyrgios: Either get over yourself, or it's done

My break-through picks for next year would be Shapavalov and Tsitsipas. I'd like to have more faith in Coric, but not so flashy.

I'm sure I've forgotten someone, but I'm just riffing.

Djokovic wins the Australian Open, Nadal the French Open, Federer takes Wimbledon and Djokovic wins his 4th Open.
