I am gonna stick with Sloane..Halep will have to take some risks to get the ball passed Sloane.. I know Cahill is gonna try to get her to open up her shoulders and install in her head that she has the edge h2h but this is a different version of Sloane. Kamau will have Sloane ready and her forehand may be the biggest weapon between the two players.A hard one to pick. Strategically and sentimentally. Halep surprised me today v Muguruza. Sloane has been very calm. I'll say it goes 3 and I don't know who to pick.
Sloane seems like and maybe she has taken the “baton” from the William sisters.. I hope its a good match and I wouldn’t be upset if Halep wins.I like SS, but really want Halep to win a major. Unfortunately, I don’t think there is much Halep can do if SS shows up ready to fight.
GSM.. I would be interested to see how our resident Jimmy the Greek Snyder aka DarthFed is gonna bet on this one.Interestingly, Sloane has never lost in a final, GS or non-GS. She is 6-0 in finals including one biggie. On the other hand, Simona barely has a winning record in finals. Her finals record is 16-14 including three big losses.
We say that about every final she's in. Who thought she would lose to Osta or Woz?I don't think Simona is going to get a better chance than this to win a major... but I'm still going with Sloane in 3.
To Wozniaki, I'd say OK, but Ostapenko was the heartbreaker for her. She had that one in her sights. We say that about every final she's in. Who thought she would lose to Osta or Woz?
Really, the one versus Woz was the bigger heartbreak..Woz is known for being a balk retriever and a player that plays the high percentage safe tennis in contrast to Ostapenko who plays first strike high risk. Simona knows she should've been more aggressive with Woz but too Woz credit she capitalized and was the better player at AO18To Wozniaki, I'd say OK, but Ostapenko was the heartbreaker for her. She had that one in her sights.
