On paper you would think this is a lock for Mugu, but as we've seen this fortnight, nothing really has gone according to paper. If the occasion is not too big for her, she could surprise Mugu like she did Pliskobot. She's already played on CC so hopefully she won't be overcome by nerves and we get a great match regardless of the winner.

I fancy Garbine to take this in 3. Not sure why so many people dislike her... she can be a bit bolshy with her coaches but I like her.

I believe Tossip explains this in the Upset thread. As for GSM? Not sure. You'll have to ask him directly.

I think having Conchita Martinez coaching Garbine for the Wimbledon tournament, her usual coach Sam Sumky could not attend due to a personal matter, has been most beneficial for Garbine and I have seen the difference in her play and mental outlook,Martinez was the only Spanish player to win Wimbledon in 1994.Rybarikova has to be the 'complete surprise package' so far in this tournament, considering her previous attempts playing at Wimbledon and going out in this first round.Rybarikova has deserved her s/final spot, though I favor Garbine as long as she can display the tennis she has to reach the s/final.Garbine in 3 sets.

My previous post was meant to be funny. Seriously, I don't have anything against Garbine. It is more due to me liking Rybar more (and partly due to me wanting Vee win and retire).

Good win for Garbine. Rybar didn't bring her same level to this match, but Mugu stayed the course. She was aggressive w/ margin and blew Rybar off the court. She returns to the top 10. With a win on Sat she'll be in the top 5.

But not for that reason you need to call a player "garbage". To open these pages and to read your continues inappropriate comments is very unpleasant. I hope you will eat your own words and soon!

Let's go Garbi to get the second GS and first Wimbledon, what a beautiful game she is showing, she has a great potencial but not so great head, but it seems Conchita is helping her a lot
