Who wins the match?

Wawrinka leads the H2H 11-2 including the last 7 matches they have played.

Out of all the Quarterfinals, this match is probably the hardest to choose a winner. Both players have not lost a set and they are both playing at high level.

I actually would say this is the 2nd easiest to call. Stan seems rounded into form and has easily gotten by the last two semi-tricky opponents. He could always be erratic but he seems to be at his now normal level when it comes to majors.

I agree with Darth - this is second easiest to call. Maybe Marin takes a set and makes it interesting, but Stan's in good form.

I'd like to see Marin take a set, but I'm inclined to think Stan gets him in 3.

Well, I saw Wawrinka x Monfils almost entirely. I have seen Wawrinka play better than that. He made some silly errors, and a match that could have been 6x4 6x3 6x2 almost got tied at one set a piece.

Not that he is playing bad -- a guy who puts everything back in play is always hard to beat, specially on clay, and that was surely a good training session. But he faltered in a lot of occasions were he could made himself a lot of favors. Against a guy who could actually do something tiny different, it could have cost a lot.

And Cilic is playing well, in fact he's been playing well since last year, no wonder he is now consistently top 10. I still think Wawrinka takes it, but based on current form this goes to 5. As I like both players, will be happy to be surprised and see one of them play like hell and win in 3.

The winner is not in doubt, only how many sets is in doubt. I will go with Stan in four.

There is thread on this match but not on Nadals QF? I thought careno busta was the only player that could upset him?

Cilic, who isn't exactly a clay-court genius, isn't going to threaten Wawrinka, who has been playing well.

Stan in 3.

As a Nadal fan, I am very very nervous about this Stan....just sayin'.
This Stan normally runs the gauntlet. :(
