Aga is the defending champion, but this year's group looks a lot different than last year's group (Flavia retired, Petra missing the cut, Lucie suffered injuries and Maria on a drug suspension).

The Red Group:
Angelique Kerber
Simona Halep
Madison Keys
Dominika Cibulkova

The White Group:
Agnieszka Radwanska
Karolina Pliskova
Garbine Muguruza
Svetlana Kuznetsova

no excitement from this group Pliscova has personality of a door knob,Kerber is nice but boring,Garbegine is just garbage,Keys is bland,Konta is super bland, maybe if Petkovic was there she would have jazzed up the event ....its just blah blah blah...whether u like Serena or not she brings excitement to these events....Cibby is okay...

Konta is not there. Sveta got the last spot by winning Moscow. She wasn't there to take pictures yesterday because she was in flight. Cibby does add spice to the event because she's such a little fireball.

Konta is there and took pictures with the group...Cibby is a little ball of fire and is the only one with some personality....this group looks like the B team..

Then she is there as the alternate waiting to see if someone pulls out.

Results after day 2:
Kuznetsova d. Radwanska 7-5, 1-6, 7-5 Aga served for this match and could not close it :nono
Pliskova d. Muguruza 6-2, 6-7(4), 7-5 Mugu should just retire now. She was up 4-0 in the decider and then 5-2 and could not stop making errors, This cannot be the same player who won a slam at RG :cover

Is Mugu injured? I thought I heard her ankle is compromised. She is playing an exo in December against Pova. Exactly what she doesn't need to shatter whatever mental strength she has left.

Mugu won RG because of perfect scheduling and court assignments with the help of Guy Forget a friend of Sumyk ...Fluke.com
RG produces a lot of flukes...garbagine is garbage..

Don't think she's injured. These losses and lapses in matches are completely mental.

there is something unlikeble about her these days..remember Medina Guerriges and other players doing that racist thing about Chinese...was she on the team......
.these losses will take her a peg or two from that egomaniac ladder.

See-saw match between Sveta/Pliskova is finally won by the Russian in a final set breaker.

Aga has more tennis intelligence than Garbage 15w shoe size behind.

Mugu is the right handed version of Petra. Lack of mental strength getting in the way of winning. She should see a sports psychologist pronto.

Kuzy is the surprise of this tournament. I bet the eighth seed never won the title or even advanced from the group.

I like Sveta because she is a talented player who is not involved in jealousy rants...she is very laidback and seems to get along with everybody.
