All matches on outer courts postposned to tomorrow as they do not expect rain to give up.

Not bad, 20 of 32 Men's matches got completed. The remaining 12 will be moved to Wed's schedule.

Anyone see the Stanimal-Fritz match? It looked like Stan was demolishing him, taking the first two sets easily, then Taylor won the third in a tiebreak and held his own in the fourth set, while still losing. Taking a set from the world #5 is no mean feat for an 18-year old.

Gotta disagree there. Stan is so up and down it's not that unsurprising imo. Granted Federer is just back from a long layoff but Fritz took a set off him on grass too. He's definitely a good player and with his serve and the faster grass in the first week of Wimbledon it's more likely for a guy with a good serve to win a set against one of the top guys. I wouldn't say he'd fare anywhere near as well on slower surfaces though.

I did not see the match live. But, saw some highlights. According to the ESPN commentators Stan was playing B or C game and that was enough to win.

Did any one see JMDP in action. I hear that he still goes only for slice form the backhand side, although he wins the matches with his serve and forehand. If that be the case, he is going to have big trouble with top players. In fact, he has to face the Man in the next round and that will be a disaster.

Today at the beginning of Nick's match, chair umpire Mohammed Lahyani announced "Everyboyd, please watch your language; also it helps if you keep the racquets in your hand".

Yet, Nick got a code violation for foul language.

There were lots of interesting stuff in the Kyrgios-Stepanek match.

1. Kyrgios made a beautiful tweener lob that made it into play of the day.
2. Kyrgios once hit a powerful forehand on which Stepanek was coming in and got hit badly.
3 Stepanek saved a match point with a nice dive volley.

I've never once seen Murray get a code violation for cursing and he's probably the worst the sport has ever seen in that regard. It's so wrong how they're all making an example of Kyrgios.

Why does Roger find it so easy to beat down low ranking opponents in the early rounds of slams? He is now far from his prime but he rarely fails to dispatch these slam 1R/2R/3R opponents breaking no sweat. Novak too wins these matches but usually has to do some work, sometimes go through scares, in the slam early rounds. But come prime time, Roger is only Roger on paper. Someone please help me understand.

1. Roger's first round opp has not won a match on grass in his life.
2. Roger still could not break him in the first two sets; both went into TB.
I would not call it winning without breaking a sweat.
3. Hopefully, you heard the story of Roger's second round opponent.

Djoker often plays to the level of his opponent. He knows he can win and does not unnecessarily bring in A game, if it is not needed.

Makes sense. Yes, I've heard about the teacher.

Roger is also far more aggressive. Even with compromised movement, his serve and shot making will win matches quicker than Novak as Roger ends points quicker.
