Interesting- the people over at FiveThirtyEight are picking Nishikori as a 65%/35% favorite to win their semi-final. I have it going the other way, but we'll see.

I just don't see how a healthy Stan could lose this match. Nishikori played well against Andy, great at times but still this performance here doesn't come close to his run here in 2014. Primarily the serve, it's not good right now and I expect Wawrinka who isn't a great returner at all, to exploit it however he can. I might be wrong, but this has Stan in 3 written all over it, in 4 if his level drops too much during one of the sets.

yeah for the sake of the final you'd probably hope Stan makes it, but Kei beat Novak last time they met here so I wouldn't necessarily rule him out if he gets through Stan.

But you feel that Stan just getting past Evans has somewhat galvanized him and he is playing with house money - a free flowing nothing to lose Stan is very dangerous
