Thiem and Kyrgios certainly have an opportunity to make the quarters and/or semis in their part of the draw. I would love to see Thiem in another semi. He is my favorite to watch of the next gen players. He has a good energy and is fun to watch. I hope he learned his lesson about scheduling and is smarter about it from here on out.

Lorenzi, who makes a living on the challenger tour, manages to keep a tight match against Murray.
That is really a surprise, when you think how Murray played lately.

Edit: Go Paolo, make Andy miserable:)

We're guaranteed plenty more ignorant cursing and trash talking to himself and his box by Murray for the rest of the match.

Very impressive stuff by Lorenzi. Shame he didn't win the set already though and serve like that when he had the chance at 5-3.

Awesome by Lorenzi. he breaks to even the match, now 1 set a piece.
:clap

Paolo was serving for the set, could not do it and got broken, but he broke again when Andy was serving to take it to a TB

While I'm very much enjoying this, you have to wonder wtf are they doing with the testing in tennis these days when these guys are running around like maniacs and not ever out of breath. It's becoming a joke of a sport. As I said, entertaining to watch but it's all getting ridiculous at this stage. No one is this fit naturally and it's not cold either in New York now.

Given up watching it now except for a point or two here and there. Lorenzi probably won't win more than 2 games again next set. He played a great first 2 sets though.

Nothing much really AP except weights, bit of soccer and hockey but I'm not naive when it comes to reality of what tennis has become. Millions out there are but not me.

Okay..However I agree these guys are taking "Something" besides sports drinks to recover..however if it was illegal a former top pro would have expose the tours( ATP & WTA) by now..Murray from what I hear may be the one of the fittest on tour..

^ Btw AP, what does team sports have to do with individual? Absolutely nothing. You can get your breath back easily in soccer while teammates have the ball up the other end of the pitch. These guys have no one but themselves out there.

Former pros have spoken out but because they weren't famous players or simply and more likely 'cos the ATP/ITF don't care (these dopers after all are making them filthy rich), they never bothered doing anything about it.

^ Sure McEnroe used steroids for 6 years and did they ever take away of his titles? Of course not. But yet he admitted taking steroids for 6 years that were "too strong for horses" and even had the audacity to say he didn't know he was taking them. ROFL!
