no rain today hopefully

Fingers crossed! There are a couple of potentially enticing match ups. Monfils vs. Almagro is particularly alluring!

Almagro is not the same player that he was before, after his foot surgery he has not done anything special and I don't think he will. Monfils will win and not too difficult

At the beginning of the tournament, Novak said sometime a player just needs time to recuperate; but, unfortunately I don't have as USO is around the corner. Now, his opponents are retiring one by one giving him ample time to recuperate. :nono

So what's the least number of matches played again for a slam winner?

We are going back to the old days when the defending champion has to play just one match against the challenger. :lolz:

I don't know if anyone cares anymore, but Nadal looks frightening. He is slaughtering the ball from the forehand side. Also appears to be in a very good mood for tennis, it's hard to win games against him, winners raining from all around the court.

This set is frightening. It's the epitome of WTA with all the breaks. Awful tripe.

Nadal lost his rhythm because Kuznetsov is just a special kind of ballbasher. He hits everything with 700% risk. When it mattered, Nadal crushed him. He even hit more winners than him in the second set, which was still subpar serving wise from Rafa. At least the guy actually plays tennis to advance in the tournament, unlike the world number one...................

Rafa played insane the first set, his forehand, backhand and serve worked incredible well but in the second set like his previous match he took the foot out from the accelerator and made more errors but he will be back
