boring schedule on Ashe...maybe Dustin Brown and Monfils will bring a little bit of fun on the outer courts.

What's the status on Taylor Townsend's game. I know fitness was one thing that was critical in her early years. It's time for her to have a break out "signature" win.

Here is a teenage girl to keep your eyes on.

Remember CiCi Bellis. Two years ago, she played at USO at the age of 15 years and 4 months and defeated Cibulkova in the first round. At that time, she entered USO as a wild card by winning the Girls 18 and under event.

This year she had come through the hard route of winning three qualifying matches as she is ranked at 158. I think she has a winnable match against Viki Golubic an unheralded Swiss player.

Townsend is kinda disappointing..does she have any sponsors to finance her career...eg like hiring a good coach and a good fitness trainer..this girl has a lot of talent and her game is better than Scone or Keys..

I think it may time for Caroline to take an extended back from tennis to regroup, miss the game for a minute.

Just take 3 to 6 month sabbatical.

It's a shame that young woman Taylor is carry that much flesh..:nono..Lindsey Davenport was fleshy as a teenager but she was able to drop that weight..Taylor needs to correct this immediately ..I am a Man with two daughters and I know it's can be an emotional issue.. But when it's your job, it needs to be addressed. That's all as a Man I feel I can say because it isn't cool being critical of a woman's weight. Taylor isn't the only tennis or American tennis player who is too fleshy. I. guess because I know people that have known her since she was in middle school that I am commenting about Taylor. Today was a match she could have won.Damn shameful

Agreed! She had a chance to break back against Caroline and blew it! I haven't seen Townsend in a while; seems she still hasn't done much in the way of conditioning! :cover  :nono :eyepop - Very impressive draw with winners and finalist going down to the 7th seed! I like the top 4; 3 separate major winners of the season with #1 ranking on the line! Been ages since something like that's been in doubt; esp. with the ladies! :popcorn :clap

Teenage phenom CiCi wins. :clap.

Next up for her is Shelby Rogers. While difficult, it is a match worth fighting for as she has a chance in that as well.

Jzzz Garbine, after to play a horrible first set she has played second and third very well. I don't understand why she has so many up and downs having that very good game, though I heard he needed a medical attention during the first set

she is not serious about her career...she should hire a nutritionist and a trainer maybe a sports psychologist.Townsend is very talented and if she gets herself in order, she will be a force to reckon with. She has every shot in her repertoire...

I'm not going to be nice. I am growing in dislike of players who have game who can't seem to pull it together to have a consistent year like Muguruza and Kvitova or as I like to refer to her as Ksh!tova.

That's pretty common on both tours, but I have hope with a couple newbies that have been on a steady trajectory going up; Thiem, Zverev, Poille, Goffin, Keyes, Bacsinszky, Bencic, & a couple Russian or Eastern block girls I need a dictionary to spell their names! :nono  :dodgy: :cover
