Knew Venus would lose. Shame but it was always on the cards. Just goes to show as I posted a few days ago, h2hs mean nothing compared to current form.

Venus has never really done well on the clay. She's a flat-ball hitter and these heavy conditions aren't suited for her game. She was never going to defeat any seasoned dirt ballers at this stage of her career. But a R16 showing is better than most of her younger competition.

I really wanted Rogers to beat Mugu. Meeting her in the final won't be easy for Serena. Stosur is more of a headcase so less of a challenge should she win the semi. Hoping for number 22.

#21 can stop #22 with Kick serve and powerful forehand. I think among all the girls out there, Sam is probably the best in matching up to Serena on the power front.
