On day 9, I picked Timea to win. On day 10, I pick Venus to win in the very same match.

Venus has 2-0 h2h against Timea...the hungarian player struggles against players that are fast and hit hard and flat

That h2h is irrelevant as Bacsinszky was a nobody in their first 2008 match and even in 2014 she was not yet a good player. I personally think Bacsinszky will win this one going by current form.

I hope Serena comes out sharp when she does get to play. The top seeds have not been looking good today.

Well Aga fizzles and Serena's reign at #1 is secured at least through Wimbledon.

But, I think Serena must win at least one of RG or Wimby to remain #1 after Wimby, for all practical purposes.

Pironkova's outfit is definitely one of the nicest at this year's RG. Top looks like a blouse you'd wear going out. Very pretty and a million miles from the hideous zebras by Adidas.

She does need to win one. I think if she defends RG she will be much happier and relaxed for the other two slams as people always take this slam as hit or miss for her. I think Muguruza looks like a serious contender and should Serena make it to the final it could prove quite the fight since Mugu won't be inundated with first final status this go round.

I agree Mugu won't let the occasion bother her. She had previously played a final against Serena and so has the experience. Besides, even the first time she did not cry and played like a big girl even though she lost.

If Mugu reaches final, it could be tough for Serena.

I wonder what is going to happen with the ladies matches they were removed from the schedule today from what I saw. I wonder if the ladies in the top half are going to have to double up on a day.

Probably not. They still have the option of moving the ladies final to Sun before the men start theirs.

Forget seems rather reluctant to push these finals back a day. I can't see any other option.

The schedule is out. They have scheduled all 4th round matches and the QF matches from the bottom half for both men and women.

In the 4th round matches women go first and in the QF matches men go first. Sensible scheduling.
Weather is expected to be good tomorrow and I expect all 12 matches scheduled to be actually completed or close to it.
