Thanks, Nehmeth, for creating the poll/thread!

Let me think on this one, though, before casting a vote. I'm torn.

The fact that Roger hasn't had to strain himself too much makes me think he has the edge. I think it's on his racquet, if he plays well and Murray plays poorly he wins. If they both play well he wins. If he has a poor serving day and his forehand is iffy then he'll lose. I could see him having an indifferent serving day, but as long as his forehand is good then it's probably even, because he'll be all over Murray's second serve. Can't wait!

After the first couple of rounds I'd have given Murray the slight edge with the thought that somewhere down the road Roger might have a tough match before the semis. Given Roger's form and the way he's serving I think he has the edge. Last good chance to win a record 8th Wimbledon, he is going to bring it that's for sure.

Pressure will be on Murray here. And for all the talk of who the crowd will be cheering for, I think there will be enough folks who want to see the Maestro have another shot at 8 to keep the support pretty even. Roger's grass game is significantly better than Vasek's (who gave Murray some trouble today). Picking Fed in 4.

I think there'll be support for Roger, but Murray will definitely have the majority this time. He's a British hero now

Federer pretty much always has the edge in this match-up, especially at Wimbledon.

I think Fed wins in 4, but haven't been able to watch enough to honestly have an educated opinion on their form in the tournament.

I won't vote, and simply root for Federer in three.

I want Roger to win and face Nole in the final, but me thinks the Scotsman takes it in four close sets.

Between these two right now, it's a contest of who wants it less. Fed will say something along the lines of:
No please, take the win, do you want my 4 kids to see me get humiliated in another final? Are you that heartless? Can you look at Mirka's tears and tell me you feel nothing?
Murray will say:
Please Roger, don't overreact, they can always call the decline card. I have had enough bagels this season! Please, man.

Mouthwatering match. I'm playing it in my head over and over with a different result each time.

Roger wants this BADLY! That I'm sure of. He has no kingdom of his own, so he can fix that by winning an 8th Wimbledon and/or a 6th USO. There aren't many opportunities left and 17 isn't going to stand for long whether it's the aresepicker or someone else. When push comes to shove on Friday he has to tell himself that 7 and 17 is not enough. Crazy statement and all but that's how he has to think.

Without watching much at all of how they did, based on the results, Roger takes it.
I picked him in 4.

Let's see...

1. If Murray wins, then he wins the tournament.
2. If Federer wins easy, he wins the tournament.
3. If Federer wins in five, then Djokovic wins the tournament.

Murray in five and then beats Djokovic in four sets in the final!

Fed will win in 4. The serve has been splendid. That continues & then it opens up his game & can hurt Murray especially on the grass. I like Fed's chances of winning here a lot but one never knows. As others have stated this can't go 5 because I don't see Djokovic needing more than 3...

Yes, but Murray has a great ROS, and even Simon finally got a break of serve today. I think Murray could get Federer in 4, but it may take 5.

I would say Roger has 30% chance of winning this in three sets, 50% chance of winning this in four sets and 5% chance of winning this in five sets. Murray's only chance of winning this will be in five sets, which I peg at 15%.

No flashback. You must remember that Roger won against Del Potro in the semifinals with a scoreline of 19-17 in the last set. That kind of sapped Roger's emotional energies (not so much physical energies). Hence, Murray had an easy win in Olympic finals.

Having said that, Let me also say that Fed will not take Andy to Woodshed like he did in O2 last year. It will be a competitive and interesting match.
