This will be an all-out blitz. :popcorn

These two have never met, so we're in unchartered territory.

Who gets to their first RG SF?

My current pick for finalist from the bottom half is Garbine. I pick her in 3 in this match.

this is difficult prediction but maybe being a leftie might make the difference.

Lucie in 3.

Great match so far. And how awesome is drama-free, screech-free, simply well played tennis!

Agree Moose. See what I mean about an all-out blitz? Lucie hasn't lost a TB yet in this tournament 5-0

That was a highly enjoyable 1st set by these two ladies. Nicely done, Lucie!

these two are bashing the ball like crazy...I wish Garbine would take pace off her shots and slow down the match.

I agree. I like Mugu, but she is very Petra-like in her ball striking. When she's on she's unbeatable, but when the conditions change (like the wind) or she's a little off, she's an UE machine.

^ because her game doesn't change...for style of surface or weather....that's something she should work on.

Lucie hits another off-FH winner for her first trip to the French Open Semi's and the top 10. Wonderful job! :clap

More than Petra, she reminds me of the young Nicole Vaidisova.

Everyone recognized that she had huge talent, but she never had a Plan B for her game, other than trying to strike the ball even harder.

(P.S. - I hope Radek doesn't see this)

It's very obvious that Garbine needs to learn to be more consistent and I'm sure she will soon, she has a great future
