They just played, it was the same outcome.
H2H is 5-0 in favor of Petra.

The Battle of the Lefties....

Safarova did push Kvitova to a third set t/break in Eastbourne 2 weeks ago,Safarova has been impressive so far in this tournament, this is the first time she has been beyond the 3rd rd at Wimbledon.
Safarova is player who can display nerves and can choke at the most important times in a match.

Kvitova to me is playing well so far in this tournament, her movement seems fine, this match is on Kvitova's racquet, though in saying that,Kvitova can implode at a moment's notice.

Kvitova has had the added advantage of playing in a Wimbledon s/final and final and I think that could be vital in this match.

Kvitova in 3 sets.( or 2 tight sets....I have to have options...every Kvitova fan does).

These 2 know each other very well, as much as I like to see Lucie knock Petra out, I don't think it'll happen.
Petra in straights.

Sometimes the little "stupid" things decide the big picture.
I say that if Lucie decides to change her body language and starts to show off and get into Petra face, and stops being the nice girl, then she has a chance to win!
It may scare Petra and stress her. She is always stressed in big matches so it can help Lucie.
It sounds silly, Petra may laugh about it, but the doubt (maybe Lucie gone mad and starts to kick) may unsettle Petra.
So a different mindset by Lucie is her only hope. Its in the head
Lucie has enough tennis to win but she doesnt bring it in big matches.

Well the fact that they play first and play a second day in a row favors Safrova. We know Kvitova's fitness can be suspect.

Safarova hopefully. Kvitova's brand of 6-0 0-6 6-0 tennis sickens me. Basically the norm with her in many, many matches has been to lose the 2nd set by the exact same score as the first set she won and then win set 3 by the same score. Baffling.

They're not playing back to back. QF was yesterday, had today off, SF tomorrow. It's the other side of the draw that has to play 3 days straight.

Its Lucie's match of her life !

1) She never been in a slam semi final. The match in itself is the biggest match she ever played.
2) She doesnt get any younger. She may not have another chance to be in a slam final.
3) If she wins she will jump to her highest rankings ever of 13. She just matched her best ranking from Aug 2012 of 17.

If I was her coach I would have done this:
Went to her room early in the morning, knock on her door and shout her name. Lucie opens the door to her coach... I slap her on the face and I shout "fight!", then I say nothing for the rest of the day until after the match when I will jump on her and hug her because she won thanks to me :D

Only Lucie knows how she will play today. Time to fight girl, life is not waiting anyone. :)

LOL. That sounds like a great movie, but I imagine a pro player will need a bit more than that.

Although she does have the advantage of knowing Kvitova's game in and out backwards and forwards. No need to watch tapes.

The "more than that" is already there in Lucie. Lucie will need to fight her own weakness of not fighting and just watching while playing. Thats why as a coach I will focus only on her mental attitude and I will make a point to her that she needs to fight today more than ever.
Thats what she is lacking, thats what she needs to focus on. Sounds stupid but its true.
Lucie let her all career pass her by while "watching"... I will try and prevent that today!

Lucie looks very lively and ready before entering the court :) good sign that she wont sleep through this match. She may be in the moment for a change.

few moments later and she already suffers and has stress while taking out the racket from her bag
