I'd like to see Ferrer make a good showing, since he's one I like, but I do think Wawrinka would make for a better final, whomever he faces. I expect to feel torn, but I hope it's a good match. I think both SFs could be highly competitive. (And I just can't bring myself to vote in either poll. Either could be 2 or 3, depending on the day…and to either player, by that same token.)

Clay is wawrinkas best surface and he's beaten Ferrer on it before. Stan in two.

In 2013, Stan defeated Ferrer in the final of Oeiras tournament. Besides, Ferrer
is bound to have a let down after such a huge victory.

Good points, but Stan has had mostly lackluster results since the AO. I don't think "Ferrer is bound to have a let down" holds any more water than that Stan has a lot to prove after the AO, and his subsequent performances. I'd say Stan has more to lose, of the two.

Probably the same reasoning most of us used when we picked Rafa to win handily. :nono It could be a tough match and go either way. But Stan is very good on clay and has the power to hit Ferrer off the court. I think this will be the coming out of his post Slam slump.
