Serena leads the series 10-1, w/ Li's only victory coming on the HC of Stuttgart in 2008.

I'll go with Serena in three, because she's not quite in superhero mode yet this year.

I am with Tented, still not overly inpressed with Serena's hitting, but, very much like Maria, I believe Serena is in Li head, maybe not taking as much space, but, she's definitely there.

I am thinking as of right now Serena is looking the better of the two. Li has been quite unimpressive especially in her last two matches. She got lucky that she was playing two people in Woz and Cibby who can't drive the dagger home.

I also agree that Li hasn't been impressive at all in her last two matches.
Serena may not be in 'super hero mode at present'.....still I am sticking with my predication.

The good news for Li Na is that she will not wast any match points in this match
(as she won't have any).

Serena in two quick sets.

Looks like a budding rivalry. If you wait for 5 more years it will reach the level
of S-S rivalry.

As I called it with Pova, Serena will do Li in straights because she wants to get that lucky number 7 Miami title. I have been impressed with Serena's ability to lift her game as needed.

You're likely right, though there has been enough Serena distraction that I think Li could take her to 3. I don't think she'll win it, though. That would have to be a very off-day by Serena…and she's not inclined to that in a final. And she's very motivated in Miami. I hope Li has a good day, though, and makes a good match of it.

Serena in two. Li will compete well, but she'll just unforced error herself out of it.

I'll stick to the horse I began with -Li Na - in three sets. She's winning "ugly" at the moment but she's winning. SO why not be the only one guessing right about Miami :D

Just a little while ago, Li Na was talking #1
http://www.tennis.com/pro-game/2014/03/li-aims-no-1-ranking-more-grand-slam-titles/50800/#.UzbUUPldXD4

If that's the case, she better turn the table here.

I think she better hope for a serious Serena let down. Serena would have to do a royal screw up for the rest of the year, and Li would have to remain consistent for the entire year for Serena to give up number 1. Though Serena has very little wiggle room aside from Wimbledon where she can seriously gain points, everything else she either made the final or won. She defends 2 of the last 3 majors. Though like I said, she would have to seriously mess up to lose all of those points. It used to be when clay season came I dreaded it for Serena, but she has proven to be quite consistent on this surface over the last two years. The only real area I am worried is when the French comes around perhaps the nerves she might have being defending champ.

Also, Li is a very capable player, but I do have to wonder what the injuries of both Sharapova and Azarenka have both had play into where we are at now. It may be that Li a very capable player would have moved past them anyway, or she would have hit a road block against them. It will be interesting to see once Sharapova gains some consistency and Azarenka returns what effect this will have on the women's game.
