I think it will go 3 depends on Kerber being consistent. If Kerber is consistent, she can beat Petra as Kvitova still is known to fall apart.

The good news is one of these ladies will finally deliver after the craptasticness they have been serving up all year!

Kerber makes fewer errors and will draw Ms Stepanek into errors

Battle of the lefties! It will be interesting to see how each uses strategy to combat the left-handed return and serve.

Congrats to Petra....it was a typical Petra match. She started great in the 1stt set and then went on one of her famous walk abouts in the 2nd set....making too many ufe and playing erratic tennis.Kerber made her pay for that dearly....resulting in a 6 -0 scoreline.Petra took control of the 3rd set and kept her focus...even when she was serving for the match she looked a tad tight.
It's hard being a Petra fan at times.Anyway good to see her take the title.

I am really starting to hate Petra and these ridiculous matches she has, a bagel in the second really. Get it together! I know you ended up winning, but I am pretty sure you will flame out in Beijing with some ridiculous 3 setter with some equally ridiculous score line.

I'll pick Petra in 3.
Good pick.
I should not have listened to Sunday, I should have listened to you!
:shy:

Funny thing is, no one actually voted for Petra in 3 sets.

Well Petra pretty much is a loser aside from her titles here and in Dubai this year. Her performance at the slams this year ridiculously bad. So until she shows some gumption and starts making the quarters, semis and finals of tournaments consistently, I am always going to pick her to lose because that is what she does for the most part lose.

strange match..when I checked the scores it was something like 6-2, 0-6, 4-0,..

was only a bit surprised petra didn't somehow manage to blow the title from four zero up in the third..but she did.
