No but just the same I feel it would have been respectful if members at least thanked other members who go to the time and trouble of posting a thread, tennis or otherwise. Pretty damn disappointed that I cannot delete my own unanswered topics over here, either. Guess what? . As I feel like I've wasted my time, from now on, there'll be no more posting tennis videos or partaking on tennis forums for me. Only will focus on developing the Films quizzes and continue on with the corny jokes thread.

To me, it's simple. Anyone who has any interest can look up these classics on YT or dailymotion and put 'em up here. I'll be sure to say thanks :clap Meanwhile I am going to devote my time developing the Films Quizzes (not just here but on other non tennis forums I am involved in). I look forward to your participation.

OK mate, but if you're being honest with yourself - do you thank other members when you read their threads? I'm actually glad you don't because otherwise you might set a precedent where threads would just be a list of thank you's.

People do watch videos - you'll notice the page views. Speaking for myself, I don't usually comment on videos alone... but if you added in a specific question as a starter then you might encourage more dialogue.

As for deleting threads - firstly why would you want to create more work for yourself, and secondly the reason for disabling was because multi-page threads where a lot of members had contributed to a discussion were being deleted by the thread starter for some reason or another.

Which sections you post on is your prerogative, but I'd suggest keeping an open mind and if you want to discuss tennis videos you will find takers - but maybe throw in a starter question to get the ball rolling.

Britbox, I have also come to realize that TTF is mainly about members interest in the modern game and it's players (which I Understand). Whereas I'm more of a vintage tennis freak. I can take or leave tennis of today. Perhaps there are other tennis sites out there with more of a balance

Yes I do thank other members posts and vintage videos as and when I come across them. I am used to deleting my unanswered threads on various other music and films sites (it's not an issue for me) and it really pisses me off I can't over here. Here I would have to rely on pm'ing a mod in order to do so, therefore I just won't put up topics at all, is the easiest solution. As I said before from here on in I am going to just limit my participation on the Films and Jokes threads.

^ The easiest solution is not to want to delete your posts to begin with. It's unnecessary. I already explained why people can't delete threads and unless it's changed since I was involved with the board admin then it's a legitimate reason and serves a greater purpose.
