The defending Champion, #1 player in the world got bagled in the second set against Medina-Garrigues in Madrid today.
The 30 year old Spaniard was enjoying home court advantage and she was actualy leading in the final set 4-2 before losing the match 3-6 6-0 5-7

thats a non-event because Medina lost the match...thebagel thats biting is the one Maria got at Wimbledon and Miami...lol

These things happen. I was surprised. Serena is not in her best form. Still she managed to win. For Medina it was a good mach, though pity she didn't win.

That match just proves if she remains calm, she's never out of it. Play better in the next match pls.

Didn't even see the match, but no one w/ a serve like Serena Williams should be eating a bagel. This is testament that the serve is not as lethal as last year. She needs to straighten it out in a hurry.

I don't know if I agree with this! Yes, she has a great serve that is somewhat blunted by the clay, but she can hit as many decent serves as she wants, but if the footwork is sloppy which it was this can happen. This is a testament to her poor footwork at times.

She got bagled, IMO this means that she might not be returning as well as she did last year. Her serve is somewhat muted on clay, but her footwork is also sloppy.
